Last July 2007, id Software’s RAGE was initially publicly shown as a tech demo at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). A month later at QuakeCon 2007, its developer officially announced the game. Now get ready for it to test your gaming rigs as RAGE is shipping to the U.S. and Europe by 2011.
RAGE is id Software’s latest gaming franchise for the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. A first-person shooter and racing game in one, the game has a post-apocalyptic setting after a destructive comet impact left Earth an inhabitable wasteland. Think Fallout 3 but much mkore detailed due to Id’s new graphics engine.
You will be assuming the role as a member of the Ark, a global movement set out to preserve scientists and other people necessary to rebuild the world, only to find out that very few humans survived. Mutants are the protagonists of the game, but only in the first part that is, as the game picks up a twist halfway.
The game is going to reach North America on September 13, followed by Europe on September 15.
