After 27 years, a new Lupin Anime is in the works and is called Lupin the Third: A Woman Called Fujiko Mine. Sayo Yamamoto, of Michiko e Hatchin fame, is directing the series. She is the first female in a long line of male directors, such as Hayao Miyazaki, to direct Lupin.
Fujiko is my fave charcter of the previous animes and we love the idea of a spinoff series starring our sexy anti-heroine. The new 13-episode Lupin anime kicks off Apr. 4, 2012.
