Racewars Philippines: Not Just an Ordinary Motoring Event
If you go to one motoring event, chances are, they all look the same. But not Racewars Philippines. Racewars is the ultimate fusion of cars, girls and music – designed to fit the lifestyle of today’s up and about generation.
The first leg of this new and innovative event will happen on the 26th of April, from 7am to 12 midnight at the Clark Freeport Zone. Racewars promises to deliver the first ever multi-discipline auto-sports and lifestyle event in the country. The event features drag racing, time attack trials and drifting performances. Throughout the day, there will also be cool cars on display at the car show. These “mean machines” will definitely be a crowd-drawer.
Several performances by a number of drift car groups led by David M. Feliciano (DMF) and enthusiasts like Atoy Llave of A-Toy Bodykits are expected to add excitement and adrenalin to the turbo-charged event.
Of course, those who troop to the event will not want to miss the babes of Racewars. Called “Racegirls”, 24 young and sexy girls will vie for the top four (4) slots of the Luzon Leg for the right to be called the Racewars Racequeen. A fashion and GO-GO show where the girls strut their stuff in casual wear and bikinis by JAG THUG will be the highlight of the night. These 24 semi-finalists have been chosen through several months of auditions and searches conducted by the Racewars group. Capping off the event will be live performances by surprise artists and guests.
According to the official event producers The Village Group, the multi-faceted auto-sports and lifestyle event is what people have longed to see in the Philippine car-show-expo scene. Though admittedly patterned after the world-acclaimed HOT IMPORT NIGHTS or HIN and NOPI events in the United States, Racewars promises a snapshot of the Filipinos’ love affair with cars. “We’ve seen how motoring has grown in the country and we feel that the perfect mix of cars, girls, music and lifestyle will appeal to a lot of Filipino enthusiasts, both amateur and professional. This event will be a way for car-lovers to share their hobby and compare notes with the community too” said Alan Tecson, overall-in-charge and Executive Producer of the official organizing committee for Racewars Philippines. “The Clark event will just be the start. Aside from all the racing and of course, cars on display; the Racequeens will surely be a hit among our guests. I’m inviting everyone to come and join us for all the fun.” Tecson adds.
Racewars Philippines will visit the rest of the country throughout the year with the Cebu leg happening in June, the Davao leg in September and then a Manila super event in December with various guests from both the local and international motoring scene as well as different programs to make each event an entirely different experience.
Racewars would not have been possible without the support of friends; Jag Thug, Oakley, A-Toy Bodykits, Concept One, H&R Springs, Xenon Bulbs, Petron XCS, West, Manila and Cebu International Auto Show, Mendez Medical Group, Greenwhite Plus Glutha, Wow Studio 23, Jam 88.3, RX 93.1, Manila Broadcasting Corp, Gold’s Gym, Clark Freeport Zone, GMTristan.com and a host of other sponsors.
