Borderlands started out as an unknown sci-fi first-person shooter RPG but we can now safely say that it is the greatest hit game developed by Gearbox. Because of this success, Borderlands fans may be in for a double surprise this year:
Since its release back in 2009, three Borderlands DLC already came out for the XBOX 360, PS3, and PC namely: The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned, Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot, and The Secret Armor of General Knoxx. Gearbox announced that by September 2010, they are going to release its fourth DLC installment called Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution. The latest Borderlands DLC introduces 20 more missions with the all-new claptrap-modified beasts like the rakk-traps, crab-traps, and skag-trapps.
Sadly, no level up cap increase for this Borderlands DLC. I’m still hoping for more awesome guns though.
Players also get the benefit of gaining more skill points with experience, more space for their backpacks, and best of all, more loot as they go through the game with the addition.
Another surprise that may be out late this year for Borderlands players is Gearbox’s unconfirmed Borderlands GOTY edition. The rumored special edition said to contain all four expansions of the game series.
