Now actor Ryan Reynolds has won the title role in Warner Bros.’ film adaptation of DC Comics’ Green Lantern. Talk about luck, this guiy is on a roll and he deserves it. Let’s hope the new Hal Jordan gives the Green Lantern movie the boost it needs to be successful.
Ryan Reynolds is Green Lantern
According to both Variety and The Hollywood Reporter, the 32 year-old Canadian beat out the likes of Bradley Cooper, Justin Timberlake and Jared Leto for the part of pilot-turned-cosmic hero Hal Jordan.
Martin Campbell (Casino Royale, The Mask of Zorro) directs from a screenplay by Marc Guggenheim and Michael Green. Filming is expected to begin this January in Australia after Reynolds wraps the thriller Buried.
