The Asus Eee PC 900 now costs at least P22,300 in the Philippines. You can get it at one of PC Corner’s branches. You still cant pay online though. Adding and extra 2k pesos to the payment will get you a RAM upgrade from 1GB to 2GB.
According to friend of mine who recently bought it: “The Asus EEE PC 900 is awesome!” He sold his old laptop to get this small laptop from Asus.

It’s a nice toy but apart from reading emails what do you do with it and now you can read your emails on your mobile phone so??

aside from reading emails (which, as you ponted out, can be done on mobile phones) one can creat spreadsheets, documents, presentations or open and edit them, albeit not with MS Office but with Open Office as this might be the Xandros Linux version of the machine.
You can surf the net, stream video and music through it. It can do pretty much any relatively light task that the average laptop can do in half the size and weight.
