Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls

Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls coming in 2026

Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is one of the most anticipated fighting games of 2026. Arc System Works of Guilty Gear fame is developing it in partnership with PlayStation Studios and Marvel Games. The game promises fresh team-based fighting experience to PS5 and PC. The game was revealed in 2025 but expect it to launch in 2026.

4V4 Fighting Mayhem
Interestingly, Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls focuses on 4v4 team battles of Marvel characters with the ability to switch between them mid-fight. Matches start with one active fighter and an assist partner, and swapping characters strategically is key to victory. The game’s mechanics should be accessible to new players while still offering depth for competitive play. Playable characters so far include Captain America, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Doctor Doom, Storm, Ms. Marvel, Star-Lord, and Ghost Rider (Robbie Reyes), with more to be revealed in the future.

Beta Tests and Community Feedback
Several closed beta tests have given fans early hands-on experience. The first beta in September 2025 featured six characters and online play on PS5, while a second beta in December added new stages like Savage Land and the X-Mansion, along with Spider-Man and Ghost Rider joining the playable roster. These tests also introduced online matches, spectator mode, rollback netcode and tutorial features.
Early feedback is mixed but generally positive, especially the fast-paced combat and distinct character playstyles.

Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls pushes combining team strategy, anime-inspired visuals, and iconic Marvel flair in a unique fighter packaghe. With continued beta tests, more characters likely in the pipeline, and developer plans to support the game long-term, 2026 could see this title become a staple in both casual and competitive Marvel gaming scenes.
