Predators is a sequel to the 1987 film Predator — producer Robert Rodriguez wanted the reboot to be like sci-fi film Aliens was to the original Alien. The original Predator film did have a proper sequel with 1990’s Predator 2, starring Danny Glover and Gary Busey but like most sequels it sucked. Predators producer Rodriguez is the creative force behind El Mariachi and Spy Kids so we might get a kickass movie.

This March, Kenka Bancho: Zenkoku Seiha (Nationwide Domination) gets a theatrical release. Hero Takashi Sakamoto gets in, well, a fight during a school trip after being mistaken for another bancho and things escalate from there.

Besides a ton of fight scenes, the Kenka Bancho movie features Idoling!!! idol Erika Yazawa and Mai Satoda and young dudes with scowls on their faces looking to beat someone up. Kenka Bancho: Badass Rumble, an english version of Kenka Bancho 3, hit Western PSPs this past November.

The Hollywood Reporter writes: “A fully believable, flesh-and-blood (albeit not human flesh and blood) romance is the beating heart of “Avatar.” Cameron has never made a movie just to show off visual pyrotechnics: Every bit of technology in “Avatar” serves the greater purpose of a deeply felt love story.”

Empire gushes: “It’s been twelve years since “Titanic,” but the King of the World has returned with a flawed but fantastic tour de force that, taken on its merits as a film, especially in two dimensions, warrants four stars. However, if you can wrap a pair of 3D glasses round your peepers, this becomes a transcendent, full-on five-star experience that’s the closest we’ll ever come to setting foot on a strange new world. Variety has also confirmed that Raimi will be directing the WoW movie. Legendary Pictures and Blizzard will be collaborating with Warner Bros., who will be co-financing and distributing the film.

The movie will be produced by The Dark Knight producer Charles Roven. Blizzard’s senior VP of creative development Chris Metzen will co-producer. Raimi is supervising the film’s development while shooting Spider-Man 4 next year.

“At its core, Warcraft is a fantastic, action-packed story,” said Raimi. Hopefully, the WoW movie doesn’t suck either.
