Valve’s Steam will soon be priced in Philippine Peso

Just got an email from Valve’s Steam game distribution service saying that games and apps on the platform will now be available in Philippine Peso. I’m worried though about the value being lost as we buy our store credits locally using USD via Steam Cards but with this news our Steam Wallet load will be converted to the local currency and will be affected by a weak peso.

Dear Steam User,

Steam will soon be priced in Philippine Peso!
If your Steam wallet has any money in it on September 16th, 2014, your U.S. Dollar balance will be converted to Peso, at a conversion rate dictated by market value at the time of conversion.
To view your account balance, simply log into your Steam client or the Steam website at http://www.steampowered.com. Once you have logged in, you will see your balance in the upper-right corner next to your account name.

Thanks,

The Steam Support Team
