According to Atari’s financial documents, the game publisher “divesting” itself of MMO developers Cryptic Studios, which it acquired in 2008. It is reported that the reason why Atari is selling the studio that created of Star Trek Online and Champions Online is the studio is unprofitable and has cost the game publisher millions of dollars.
Looks like even Bill Roper cant save Cryptic this time.
