Zelda: Spirit Tracks DS announced at GDC 2009

Posted by on March 29, 2009 in Nintendo DS, Videos - No comments

The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks is coming to the Nintendo DS as announced by Nintendo president Satoru Iwata. He says Nintendo wants to please long-time, loyal fans to the company and to the Zelda franchise with this particular title, which is coming later in 2009.

From the footage seen at GDC, the game is styled a bit like the GameCube’s Zelda title, Wind Waker. Link is controlled with the stylus, and is also seen controlling a sidekick armored character. He then encounters a huge beetle creature in what appears to be an epic boss battle as Zelda tradition goes.
