Petition: Free Shuttle Service for Call Center Employees (Night Shift)
Having worked in my past life in the call center industry, i know the hassles and safety issues with regards to working during odd hours. Here is a petition found online that asks for a bit of extra care for call center employees especially during those working during the night shift:

How many times have we heard stories of people being harassed and mugged on their way to and from work during late hours? The working force of call centers are constantly exposed to dangers like this because of all the bad elements that prowl the streets during the wee hours of the morning.
In the spirit of Labor Day this coming May 1, 2008, we would like to propose that Call Centers offer free shuttle services to night-shift employees for their own safety. The service won’t have to bring all of them home directly but at least drop them off in secure places that have decent lighting with access to public transportation.
